Taking the Tip Apart
1. Remove tape from tip. If this is just to repair tip, only remove tape that covers the barrel of the tip. If this is for rewiring the blade, remove all of the tape from the blade.
2. Holding down the tip with your finger, remove the small screws from the side of the barrel that hold the tip in. DO NOT let go of the tip, or parts will fly.
3. Release the tip gently and remove from barrel and set aside.
4. Remove spring either by tipping up the blade or pulling it out with a small screwdriver.
