If the blade is broken, do not try to rewire.

DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR A BROKEN BLADE. THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS. A REPAIRED BROKEN BLADE COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH IF USED FOR FENCING.
Before throwing away an old or broken blade, Salvage the tip parts by first following the steps in "Taking the Tip Apart", and then salvage the barrel by following step 1. Of "Removing the Old Wire".
